Shonda Rhimes is not in favor of a legal marriage. Well, she didn’t have such thoughts about real life marriage instead she thinks that marriage on show shouldn’t be legal.

 

 

Grey’s Anatomy episodes saw the marriage of Meredith and Derek. Prior to marriage, Shonda was very confused because of the same because viewers want a formal wedding while Shonda wanted an informal marriage.

 

I guess she feels legal marriage like playing with the emotions of gal ‘coz marriage is most beautiful thing that ever happen to a gal and Shonda doesn’t want it to happen just for sake of show.

 

Shonda wants a simple marriage but viewers have different views. Besides the fact that marriage happened in a simple way, viewers went to download Grey’s Anatomy to have a glimpse of the marriage.

 

Now, let’s know the reason behind Shonda disagreeing to real marriage, "I deeply appreciate the fans and how much they care about Meredith and Derek, but as a woman and a human being and the mother of a girl, I just feel like this idea that somebody in a big white dress is the be all and end all of human existence is a terrible message to send out.”

 

Hmm… Shonda seems to be very sensible woman. She very well knows that it is gal’s dream to wear a white wedding dress and it might be not suitable to do this in show. Marriage should happen informally in show.

 

However, viewers still use to watch Grey’s Anatomy online even after being aware that the marriage happened just on papers.

 

Shonda also feels that the marriage of Derek and Meredith is the marriage of equals. It didn’t appear like a fairytale marriage. Moreover, she is happy that Derek accepted the ways of Meredith.

 

On the other hand, Shonda also understands why viewers want a legal wedding. She would also have expected the same if she was watching the show.

 

She can’t imagine Meredith in a big white poufy dress being a creator of the show. She cares about the gal and being a mother of a gal, she understands how difficult it can be.

 

Well, hope viewers get a formal wedding in Grey’s Anatomy upcoming season because it didn’t take much time to change things.
