The third season of the Grey's Anatomy was premiered on September 21, 2006. This season of the series had twenty five episodes in it. The season opens with Izzie suffering the tragic loss of her fiancé, Denny. All the doctors at Seattle Grace help her come out of that shock and tell her not to quit the internship program. Meredith is getting close to Derek but before she takes any bold step regarding the same she must decide what things will be like for her if this thing comes out. Chief spends a night at the hospital, but now he will have to face his wife.
